Bangkok Community Theatre would like to thank all those audience members who came to see Pinocchio this weekend. Almost 700 people saw the play over the first four performances and we know that it must have been a difficult decision to come or not to come given all the news reports. Thank you for your support.
We have been hard at work trying to find a way to stage an additional performance to accommodate those audience members who already have tickets but were unable to attend this weekend. This afternoon we confirmed arrangements with The British Club to offer one additional performance next Saturday, March 20th at 11am. So, if you already have a ticket but did not attend this weekend, and if you would like to attend the performance on Saturday March 20th at 11am, please email pinocchio@sala.net to confirm your seats. Please email your confirmation with the number of people expected to attend on the 20th at 11am, plus the ticket numbers and the date and time of your original ticket. For example: "The Smith family of four will attend at 11am on Saturday March 20th. We originally had 4 tickets for the 1:30 performance on Saturday March 13th and our ticket numbers are 025-028." If you know you can not attend the Saturday 11am show, please let us know and if we can sell off your tickets for you, we will. Please remember that every adult and every child (regardless of age) must have a ticket to the show and that you should arrive 45 minutes prior to showtime to participate in the crafts which are included in the ticket price. The British Club will provide snacks and refreshments both before and after the show but these are additional; they are not included in the ticket price. There is no parking at the club and the closest skytrain stop is Chong Nonsri. Thank you very much. We hope to see you at the show! Posted by: Bonnie on Mar 14, 2010 - 08:49 AM
Today, Suday March 14th, BCT will hold both performances of Pinocchio as planned.
We understand that there is concern regarding the demonstrations today but since they are on the other side of town it is our intention to go ahead with all shows as originally scheduled. Several people have asked why we didn't just postpone this weekend's performances. Unfortunately, right now the venue and the actors are not available at the same time except for the two planned weekends. Our choice was to go ahead for whichever audience members could attend this weekend or cancel completely which would have meant disappointing everyone. We decided it was best to perform for those who could make it rather than to cancel entirely. It was a tough decision and we hope you understand and will join us if possible. If there is any further news regarding shows/tickets we will make announcement of it here. Please stay safe and stay in touch. Other news contact points would be cast members, BCT Committee members, the BNH Hospital and The British Club. These are all access points for updated information on our plans. The BNH Hospital number is 02-686-2700 x1122, the BCT Hotline is 089-887-7945, and the British Club is 02-234-0247. We do advise audience members to take whatever precautions they deem necessary and to allow extra time to travel to The British Club as the demonstrations will likely create traffic problems. Skytrain is probably your best bet (Skytrain stop Chong Nonsri) Please also remember that you want to allow 45 minutes prior for the craft activities before the show so you want to build all that into your plans. Also there is no parking at the British Club. Thank you very much for your support and we hope you will enjoy the show. The Pinocchio Production Team Bangkok Commuity Theatre PS If you are looking for tickets, please note we still have tickets for both shows on the 14th and some for the first show on the 20th & the last show on the 21st. We apologize that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded unless the show is cancelled. Posted by: Bonnie on Mar 12, 2010 - 07:36 PM
At this time, BCT plans to hold all performances of Pinocchio as planned including the two peformances on March 14th, 2010. We understand that there is some concern regarding the demonstrations over the weekend but it is our intention to go ahead with all shows as originally scheduled. If that should change for any reason, on Friday night or early Saturday morning and then again on Sunday morning, we would post the information here, we would inform cast and BCT Committee members, the BNH Hospital and The British Club.
Skytrain is probably your best bet (Skytrain stop Chong Nonsri) Please also remember that you want to allow at least a half an hour for the craft activities before the show so you want to build all that into your plans. The Pinocchio Production Team Bangkok Commuity Theatre PS If you are looking for tickets, please note we are sold out for both shows on the 13th and the first show on the 14th but we still have tickets for the second performance on the 14th and some for the 20th & 21st.
