Storyline
Summer 1922: Sarah Bernhardt is trying to dictate her
memoirs to her secretary Georges Pitou. To help her recall
details of her life which has been filled with adventure,
daring and whim, he agrees to play the characters she is
trying to remember. As a result, her mother, her sister, her
lover, her husband, her son, her American agent, a stagehand,
Oscar Wilde and Georges Bernard Shaw reply in turn
to a Sarah Bernhardt who is challenging her own death
between life and theater.
